| History of Establishment | ||
| Amperes Electronics was setup in mid 1999 in Puchong, near the capital of Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur, as a small partnership company. It was later incorporated in Private Limited company in the year 2000. It was relatively a very small setup with principal activities centered around making customized accessories for the installation of audio visual systems. Among the items were microphone panels, speaker monitor panels, zone selectors, etc. | ||
| What were produced then were well accepted and with streams of support and encouragement from our clients, we went further to making standardised finished product. Being a young player and in a relatively infant market, roads were never easy when we had to compete with rather established brand from abroad, especially from USA and Europe. | ||
| However, opportunities knocked when the Asian financial crisis were at its height. Dropped in local currency had forced the market to look for alternative products, and Amperes never missed the boat. From then, Amperes had slowly step into the market normally dominated by European and Japanese brands. | ||
| As more and more items are added to its list, it was time that an identity was needed and from then on, Amperes has been synonymous with Public address systems. | ||
| From a humbly small workshop setup, Amperes has grown to bigger space with 2000 sq ft in the year 2003 and had since expanded its areas in multiple folds. | ||
| The Products | ||
| The first finished product under the brand name was a 6 channel speaker zone selector and was installed in the year 2000 at a Hindu temple in Pudu ( Heart of Kuala Lumpur ). From there on, Amperes had relentless pursue to create more models to cater for every need in PA systems. Till date around 80 models are available and this figure is still growing without any halt in mind. Amperes had also been producing some OEM products for other brands. | ||
| Year 2007, Amperes shall take a step further to be at par with other more established brands. MatriMix Paging MxP2188 shall be rolled out by 3rd quarter of the year. This shall be a matrix system with digital controls and shall have various features required for a matrix paging system. Speaker variants shall also be expanded together with other analogue conventional components of PA systems. Thus in short, the year shall mark the completion of range of equipments in conventional PA systems. | ||
| The Philosophy | ||
| A large portion of the revenue has been reinvested in R & D and shall remain as a trend in our pursue of product excellencies. Despite the eagerness to produce more new models, existing and ongoing products do not lack attention for improvement. We listen and feedbacks from our valued clients and users have always been welcomed and studied. Continuous product improvement policy has been a key policy in product evolution and this is recognized as vital ingredient for Amperes to succeed and be well received by the market. | ||
| Automation of processes, testing and measurement instruments and continuous improvements in jigs and fixtures ensures the consistency of products manufactured. These are to ensure that our customers receive the most optimum standard of products. | ||
| Amperes does not only improve its physical product and method of manufacturing but also in its management. It succeeded in obtaining ISO9001 : 2000 certification in the year 2006 in the scope of "Design and Manufacturing of Public Address System". All the efforts in improving every aspect of managing and running the company has shown that we are fully committed in producing the most optimum and affordable gadgets for the market. | ||

| In the home ground, the name Amperes has been linked to PA system. It had been installed in thousands of installations, be it small or large, simple or complex, part or full system ... and Amperes has always been able to offer something. Among projects installed are Airports, hospitals, government offices, recreation and hotels, schools and universities, shopping malls .... and the list goes on. | ||
| Amperes has been aggressive to have footprints in the region and had its components installed in various countries such as Singapore, Brunei, UAE, Vietnam, Burma, Sri Lanka, Philippine, Indonesia, Myanmar and Thailand. We had also participated in various exhibitions such as PALA, PALME in the effort to be recognised as a regional player in this field. | ||
