iQD2000 Series Mounting Ear Update
Amperes iQD2000 Series has now featured with Amperes Mounting Ear design, replacing the earlier side-panel style with a more integrated rack-mount structure. This subtle update brings a more refined and standardized appearance to the IP network amplifier lineup. While the internal performance and reliabiliy remain trusted as ever, the latest enhancement focuses on improved installation practically, visual consistency, and better rack integration for modern PA installations.
Key enhancements include:
Cleaner and more modern front appearance
Better rack alignment and mounting stability
Improve visual consistency across equipment racks
A Cleaner, Standardized Outlook
The previous design featured a narrower side mounting structure attached closer to the chasis body. While functional and reliable, the appearance varied slightly from newer Amperes equipment designs.
The updated Amperes Mounting Ear outlook adopts a wider and more balanced mounting profile, giving the amplifier a stronger and more symmetrical rack appearance. Additionally, it also help installers and technicians to quickly identify units model during installation and maintenance. The new structure also improves handling during rack installation, especially in large-scale system deployments.
Quick Intro to iQD2000 Series
iQD2000 Series - IP Network 4 Zone Power Amplifier remains a powerful solution for modern IP-based Public Address systems. with integrated Ethernet functionality and multi-zone amplifier capability, it is ideal for applications requiring centralized audio distribution and emergency paging integration.
Beyond the new Amperes Mounting Ear, it continues to deliver:
Class D amplifier efficiency
Ethernet-based audio networking
Multi-zone speaker output
Integration with emergency paging systems
Stable operation for continuous-duty environments
Common applications include:
Commercial buildings
Shopping malls
Hotels
Universities
Transportation terminals
Government facilities and more
Front Outlook of iQD2000 Series
The front outlook combining a clean black front panel with the new Amperes Mounting Ear for a more balanced and modern rack appearance. Key of the front panel features include:
New Mounting Ear Design: Wider and robust mounting ears for improved rack integration and easier model identification.
Reset Button: Hold to reset zone settings and test LEDs, or continue holding to activate amplifier changeover test mode.
Stream LED: Blinks when receiving audio streaming from a paging microphone. No blinking during streaming from iPX5200 or PMX III.
Server LED: Blinks Green when connected to iPX5101 paging server, turns Amber when disconnected.
Speaker Output Switches: Press to enable music playback for selected zones. Paging will temporarily override active zones.
Monitor Speaker: Built-in speaker for listening to audio output regardless of active zones.
Monitor Speaker Volume Controller: Adjust the monitor speaker volume
Remote Override: LED lights up when local BGM is overriden for paging or emergency announcements.
Pilot Tone: 20 kHz pilot tone monitoring indicator for amplifier circuit supervision.
Buzzer ON/OFF Switch: Controls the fault buzzer, short press for temporarily mutes, long press disables until reset or new fault occurs.
LEDs Status Indicator:
Signal LEDs (CLIP, -10dB, - 30dB, SIG) : Displays input signal levels and clip status.
TEMP: Lights up when temperature reaches 75°C.
STANDBY: Lights up when standby amplifier takeover is active.
FAULT: Indicates amplifier fault detection.
POWER: Lights up with AC/DC power, blinks during DC backup.
Ventilation Slots: Horizontal airflow ents to help maintain cooling
Power Switch: Front-mounted power switch with ON/OFF
Rear Outlook of iQD2000 Series
The rear panel features a well-organized layout with clearly separated sections for power, networking, audio output, monitoring, and emergency integration. Key rear panel features are:
AC Power Input & Fuse Protection: Fused AC inlet for 220–240V AC mains input with built-in fuse protection.
Ethernet Connectivity: RJ45 Ethernet port for IP audio networking and system integration.
Output Gain Control: Adjustable output gain control for fine audio tuning.
Dual Ventilation Fans: Dual cooling fans for stable thermal management and continuous operation.
RS485 Data & Fault Contact: RS485 port is used for firmware updates. The NO fault contact closes when a fault occurs, suitable for standby amplifier changeover or external monitoring.
24V DC Backup Input: Supports 24V DC backup power for uninterrupted operation during mains failure.
Relay Contacts: Two relay outputs for All Call or Emergency Paging override.
Standby Amplifier Changeover Terminal: Built-in relay terminal for automatic standby amplifier switching during faults or emergencies.
4-Zone Speaker Output Terminals: 4-zone speaker outputs with A/B lines, grouped into SPK 1 & 2 and SPK 3 & 4. To share the same amplifier for SPK 3 & 4, link the 100V and INPUT terminals.
