Introduction
iPX5155 is a BGM and Paging client, also known as a Network Audio Extractor, designed for Amperes iPX network systems. It receives audio streams from PMX LAN software or the iPX5200 MK II Music Server and delivers balanced audio output and RS485 data to zone decoders for speaker zone selection.
During paging, background music is automatically muted, and emergency messages from iEP1200 or EP1200 units take top priority. The iPX5155 can also serve as an audio transmitter for external sources like music players or paging microphones. With low-latency transmission, up to 320 kbps MP3 streaming, and a 5-band equalizer, it provides reliable and high-quality audio for decentralized installations.
